From June 29 to July 1, 2026, hydrogen reduction tests were conducted at a small pilot plant with a production capacity of 15 kg/h at JFE Steel East Japan Works (Chiba), successfully producing approximately one ton of reduced iron using green hydrogen for the first time in Japan.
